Jim, I called for you because there is something very important that we need to discuss. You have been around for quite some time, haven't you? Twelve years is a long time, and I must thank you for the loyalty and the dedicated service you have extended to the company all these years. Unknown to you, I have been closely observing you and I want to congratulate you because you have been very consistent with your performance in your job. I am impressed. Because of this, I have recommended you to the board to be among the nominees for the position of a branch manager. You see, I will be retiring soon and before I leave I need to choose someone qualified to take over my position. I have chosen you, Jim. I believe that with the right leadership coaching, you will be a great leader one day. I know that I will not regret this decision because I have seen how hard you work. This can be overwhelming, I know. But I'm sure you'll do just great.
