Second hand electronic gadgets always turn out to be very problematic

The last camera I had was a hand me down camera from my sister who upon getting her new camera, thought that she should grace me with a very problematic camera. At first, I did not know that it had issues, I was very excited that I had my own camera, excited is not even the right description, I was ecstatic. So with time, it started going off every minute and when I took for it to get checked, I was told that its batteries were not good, I had to replace it and I thought that would be the end, but I assumed wrong, because it was just getting started. Another time I was trying to format the sd card that was in it for the first time due to a virus problem and then I got a message on the computer that the card was locked. I had to call a technician and ask him Why Is My SD Card Locked? He took a look at it and said that it has protection by the manufacturer it was not possible to change its contents. I asked my sister if she had ever deleted anything from the card and she affirmed that she had never. That was problem number two and it was costing me a lot because now I had to get a card that had no protection.
